Donacija: $15

U SARADNJI SAMS-a & SERBIAN BOOK WORLD-a

Vida Ognjenovic, knjizevnica i rediteljka.
Knjige drama: Melanholicne drame (1991), Kanjos Macedonovic (1993), Devojka modre kose (1993), Setne komedije (1994), Mileva Ajnstajn (1999), Jegorov put (2000), Drame I-III (sabrane drame u tri toma; 2001-2002), Don Krsto (2007).
Knjige prica:
Otrovno mleko maslacka (1994, 2009), Stari sat (1996), Najlepse pripovetke (2001), Prava adresa (2007), Zivi primeri (2012).
Knjiga proze: Putovanje u putopis (2006).

O tome pricaju nove price Vide Ognjenovic i zbog toga Zivi primeri jesu izuzetan trenutak savremene srpske pripovetke.

For more than a hundred years, bedtime stories have warned children of the roving troupe of gypsy clowns who travel from town to town, stealing away naughty youngsters and raising them as their own, schooling them in the arts of musical vaudeville and playing for ragamuffins and royalty the world over. However, unlike Krampus or the Bogeyman, the idea of these wandering carnies seems to attract almost as many children as it frightens. Far from scaring such children into obedience, many have run away from home in hopes of finding and joining with this sinister crew from faraway, mythical CANDY TOWN.

On Saturday, April 6 at 8:00 PM, The Serbian American Museum will host an evening of musical delights presented by that very troupe, named for the city from which they hail. Coming to America for the first time in 1901 and passing through sporadically in the ensuing decades, these beguiling performers are considered by many to be the greatest living masters of “Bounce” music. Please join us for an evening of dreams and half-remembered yesterdays with CANDY TOWN, who offer release and abandon to the brokenhearted with their confectionary melodies.
